In the first advert from the latest campaign, it is brought to his attention that there is a similarly-named website called, Wigglethorpe-Throom points out that “meerkat” and “market” are different words that contain different letters which are pronounced differently.

Starting from Monday, January 21st 2013, Wigglethorpe-Throom, along with his assistant Spencer, return in a brand new advert, which concentrates on credit cards.

Whereas the lack of meerkats may come as a disappointment to some viewers, Wigglethorpe-Throom’s charm and humour in both adverts makes him a great character to fill the (very small) shoes of Aleksandr Orlov.

Robert Webb brilliantly fulfils the role and the use of “chin brambles” to describe a beard has every chance of catching on as well as “Simples” did four years ago. Hopefully this won’t be the last we see of Wigglethorpe-Throom.
