About David Wriglesworth
From an early age, David Wriglesworth developed a passion for writing, which lead him to start contributing to Console Monster – an independent gaming website that is dedicated to Xbox and PlayStation gamers.
David decided to pursue his passion for writing further by studying BA (Hons) Journalism at the University of Lincoln in 2010, from which he graduated with a 2:1 degree.
During his time at university, David volunteered for the local community radio station, Siren FM, contributing towards Siren News, as well as co-presenting/producing “The Watercooler” – a breakfast radio show.
However, his main passion was the University of Lincoln’s premier student newspaper, The Linc, which he became the editor of in his final year. His work for The Linc was rewarded with Website of the Year at the BJTC Awards in November 2013.
In November 2012, David visited BBC Radio 1‘s studios in London, including the BBC Newsbeat and BBC Radio 1Xtra studios – where he appeared on Tim Westwood’s radio show.
After leaving university, David founded What’s On Darlo – an events listing website for the town of Darlington. The website has gathered over 10,000 followers on social media.
In March 2014, David Wriglesworth was hired by Webworks Internet as a Website Copywriter/Marketing Assistant, although the role was made redundant in November 2015.
David then went on to work as a Social Media Manager for tgi MEDIA in November 2015.
